STARBUCKS ICED CARAMEL MACCHIATO RECIPE

First, I want to start out by saying this is a dupe recipe! I have no earthly clue how the heavens open above Starbucks and caramel macchiato rains down upon them every time I order my "go-to" drink. What I do know is that my wallet has been hurting and after doing some math I was spending $75 a MONTH on Starbucks Crack.

So fast forward to the year 2020 and BOOM Corona Virus hits and my beloved Starbucks has been ripped from my fingertips. Since I've had months to practice my craft stuck in the house. "Bored in the house, & I'm in this house bored." I have finally created a dupe Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato recipe that I am very happy with and honestly, don't feel the need to spend my $75 dollars at Starbucks any longer...I know...I can't believe I said that either.

BUT WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE THIS LIQUID GOLD?! -- (You...asking me...)

Ingredients

-Ground Coffee (My favorites listed below)

-Ice

-Whole Milk (Substitute Almond Milk, 2%, or whatever milk you prefer)

-Creamer -- I use Starbucks Caramel Macchiato

-Caramel Sauce -- I like Ghirardelli Sea Salt Caramel

Step 1: MAKE COLD BREW OVER NIGHT

There are many different recipes for making your own cold brew, but this little amazon find makes this step a no brainer. All I do is fill the fine mesh core almost to the top with my favorite coffee ground. I decided to try Starbucks Caramel flavored coffee, but my normal go-to is Pike Place Medium Roast. Try to avoid filling all the way to the top so you don't spill once you place it in the water.

I used to make this in a old school kool-aid jug, but I love that this keeps my grounds in the mesh container and doesn't make such a mess when it is time to remove the grounds.

Next you want to fill your container of choice with water! Again, don't fill all the way to the top in order to avoid spilling. Place your container in the refrigerator for at least 12hrs! I prefer to leave mine for a full 24 hrs, but I also prefer very STRONG coffee.

Step 2: MAKE THE ACTUAL DRINK

Now you have waited your 12-24 hours like the patient adult you are & it is time to finally mix your OWN Iced Caramel Macchiato. Lets get down to business!

Grab your glass and add Caramel Sauce around the edges of the glass (this is important and trust me it makes a difference! Once you have the caramel around the edges add Ice and pour your cold brew half way up the glass.

Next, add a splash (tablespoon) of the Torani Vanilla Syrup, about 1/2 cup of creamer, and fill the rest of the glass with your choice of milk!

All that is left to do now is toss in a straw and take your boujee self to the couch for another day of quarantine! Thanks for reading!
